The following is a Twitter thread from Dimitry Gershenson
https://twitter.com/d_gershenson/status/1519681927279628288?s=21 By Dimitry Gershenson Every week, I talk to someone looking to transition into #climate from tech. It makes me so damn optimistic. When they ask me where to look for opportunities, here's what I say: 1. Check out @Climatebase and @climatetech_vc job boards. The community is just starting to exist on these platforms and there are SO MANY AWESOME JOBS 2. Join @workonclimate, @mcjpod, and @NewEnergyNexus Slack channels. Tons of good resources there; probably 10+ new jobs posted every day 3. Look at VC portfolio job boards. This is a great place to find opportunities with companies that have raised funding (and likely will again if they're making progress). To figure out who the climate VCs are, you can start here: https://climatetechvc.co/climate-tech-vcs/4 4. If you feel like you need to build more climate specific knowledge, there are more resources than ever. @terradotdo, @Climatebase fellowship, @workonclimate starter packs, etc etc. This is on top of all the free courses on the science on platforms like @coursera 5. There are also now #climate specific recruiting groups like @climatepeople. They have jobs spanning engineering, design, project management, etc. 6. Last but not least, keep reaching out to people like me. Most of us "veterans" are super willing to talk, connect, etc. The world is on 🔥 and we will put in the work to help you find a place in the #climate fight. What did I miss? What other advice would you give? —Dimitry Gershenson |
